THE CHALLENGE

Sygno- a trade name of Fraud Dynamics B.V.- is a next generation Regtech, provider of Automated Machine Learning software for Transaction monitoring. Our customers are in the financial sector worldwide.

We are calling on you to help us as Backend Developer, designing and developing our applications. Qualified candidates will be expected to have a working knowledge of Python, Flask, and SQLAlchemy. Your duties will include building the backend interacting with our frontend. You will help transforming the needs of the business into reusable code and building high-quality components with scalability in mind. You will be involved in every step of the process in developing our technology. As Backend Developer you will also be involved in deploying our application, making sure it runs smoothly, and optimizing the database.

Responsibilities

• Design and build applications with python development best practices
• Transform designs into backend code with Python, Flask, and SQLAlchemy
• Maintain the database and make sure it works smooth and fast (including but not limited to: PostgreSQL, Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL/MariaDB)
• Work with frontend developers to integrate UI components with APIs
• Debug errors, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine performance optimizations
• Write high-quality, scalable, and reusable code
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends

YOU, AS A BACK-END DEVELOPER

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience developing modern applications using Python, Flask, and SQLAlchemy.

Preferred qualifications

• Relevant experience in IT industry and financial sector
• Experience in Agile projects
• Experience in Linux command line
• Knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes

Skills

• Strong communicator and fluent in (spoken and written) English.
• Team player
• Willingness to learn
• A good sense for product development opportunities and up to speed with current trends

• Attractive salary (€ 3.000- €4.000 gross income per month depending on experience), 8% holiday allowance, 30 vacation days
